Homemade Peach Iced Tea Recipe (Trà Đào Lạnh) – A Summer Must-Have pinit

Summer has finally arrived, and with it comes BBQ season, garden gatherings and long afternoons in the sun. As we fired up the grill for our first barbecue of the year, I found myself craving a fruity and refreshing drink to complement the smoky flavours and warm breeze. Naturally, Homemade Peach Iced Tea (Trà Đào Đá) came to mind – one of my absolute favourites.

If you love Peach Iced Tea as much as I do, this recipe is especially for you. With only three ingredients (well, four if you count water), this iced tea is everything you want in a summer drink: cold, fruity, slightly sweet and wonderfully refreshing. Best of all, it’s made entirely from fresh ingredients, no additives or artificial flavourings like the shop-bought versions.

Why you’ll love this Homemade Peach Iced Tea

Homemade Peach Iced Tea (Trà Đào Đá)

There’s something incredibly satisfying about sipping on a glass of Homemade Peach Iced Tea that you’ve brewed yourself. Today’s batch turned out beautifully – strongly infused with real peach flavour, subtly sweetened with honey and chilled to perfection. It’s the kind of drink that makes you pause and say, “Yes, this is summer”.

I love that I can make this with just a few simple ingredients: fresh peaches, black tea and honey. That’s it. No syrups, no powders, no mysterious extras – just honest flavours that shine through.

Ingredients

How to make Homemade Peach Iced Tea

Making Peach Iced Tea at home is straightforward and actually quite fun. Here’s how I do it:

Prepare the peach syrup

I peel the skin, remove the stones and slice the peaches thinly, then toss them into a saucepan. Add honey (to taste) and water. Bring everything to a gentle boil. Once it starts bubbling, lower the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes. This step draws out all that lovely peach flavour and transform it into a fragrant, fruity syrup.

Brew the tea

While the peaches are simmering, brew your tea. I usually go for black tea – Lady Grey is my personal favourite – but feel free to use what you have on hand. Steep the tea bags in freshly boiled water for about 10 minutes then remove them and let the tea cool slightly.

Extract the peach goodness

Once the peach slices have softened and the syrup smells heavenly, I use a wooden spoon to gently smash the fruit in the pan. Then, I strain the mixture through a sieve into a large jug. Be sure to press the fruit against the sieve to get every drop of that delicious peach juice.

Mix and chill

Now it’s time to combine the two: pour the peach syrup into your tea and give it a good stir. Let the mixture cool to room temperature then pop it in the fridge to chill completely.

Serve and enjoy

Before serving, I like to slice up n extra peach or two and drop the slices straight into the jug for a fresh garnish. Add plenty of ice cubes if you fancy an even colder sip and serve it in tall glasses. This Homemade Peach Iced Tea looks just as beautiful as it tastes.
